Welcome to Acro Caribbean! We are a team of international circus, acroyoga and dance performers and teachers based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
We are currently offering acroyoga classes in downtown Playa del Carmen.
Besides classes, we are organizing community Free Sunday Acro beach Jam and participating in ACRO CHIDO festival.
Join us as we recreate the world around us with community, circus, dance and shared joy.

Our teachers
Jo Bot
Jo Bot is a Canadian acro-yogini currently based in Playa del Carmen. She has an extensive background as a certified yoga and acro-yoga teacher. Jo combines a comprehensive knowledge in alignment, communication, and inspiration to teach a deep understanding of shared balance, technique and flow in acro-yoga.
Anna Novoselova
From Russian, Moscow, Anna is a professional dancer and master of sports acro. She has worked internationally for many dance companies, and most recently for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She teaches modern dance, acrobatics and flexibility, and her acro dance classes give students a playful education in all of these areas.
Private classes
We offer private classes of acroyoga, aerial silks and handstands in Playa del Carmen downtown. Private class can be organized for kids or adults, singles, couples or groups. Please reach out if you are interested!

Playa del Carmen is a city in the Yucatan peninsula by the Caribbean Sea and it's population is around 250 000. Playa del Carmen has become popular mainly because of the island of Cozumel, which is worldwide known as a scuba diving destination. There are many tourist attractions besides of the rich marine life - Mayan ancient pyramids, cenotes (underground caves), rich local culture, beautiful beaches with warm turquoise water or everyday nightlife. Average temperatures are 25-30 °C. Transport around Playa is very convenient - just ride a bicycle, to nearby cities take local van.

DO I NEED A PARTNER?No, you can come even solo, anyway we practice in small groups, where you can try to play with different people and make new friends.

DO I NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE?Not really, it´s just a little easier the more flexible you are. There are also flexibility classes on our schedule where our amazing coach will teach you right techniques how to become more flexible quickly and safely, that you can later practice at home.

CAN I TAKE MY KIDS TO CLASSES AND JAMS?Of course! We are happy to play with kids. If you take your kids for a class, please let us know in advance.

HOW YOU WORK WITH COVID SAFETY?Small groups - social distance - face masks. If you don´t feel 100% healthy, please stay home.

IS PLAYA DEL CARMEN SAFE?Absolutely! Anyway we recommend you to stay in the city center, where lot of tourist and expats stay. If you follow basic rules - don´t go out alone at night, don´t show expensive gadgets, don´t trust everyone, ... you will be okay.
